All right, this is insane. But in a good way. Latanna Stone, a 10-year-old, four-foot-eight golf prodigy, has qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur.
Think about that for a second. A 10-year-old is already playing better golf than you are or probably could ever hope to. (It's OK. We won't tell anyone how upset that makes you.)
All credit to Ms. Stone, however, who was born on September 4, 2001 and has already won 102 tournaments. By shooting a 70 at the Wanderers Club in Wellington, Fla. earlier this month, she qualified for next month's U.S. Women's Amateur in Cleveland. She beats the existing record of 12 by, yes, two years.
Naturally, this being the 21st century, Stone has her own website, her own Twitter account (no, we're not linking to a 10-year-old's Twitter account), and a celebrity coach, Charlotta Sorenstam (Annika's younger sister). All the best to you, Latanna. May want to give Michelle Wie a ring sometime soon.
