If you want know how many incredible shots Tiger Woods has pulled off over his career, just take a quick trip over to YouTube and type in the words "Tiger Woods greatest shots." Within seconds you'll find a treasure trove of highlights from every year of his career.
There's the shot from the fairway bunker at the 2002 Canadian Open; the chip-in on the 16th hole at the 2005 Masters; the approach shot in the dark at the 2000 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational; and the putt to force the playoff at the 2008 U.S. Open.
And that's just a small snippet, folks. There's no question he's produced more highlight-reel shots than any golfer on the planet. Well, he added another to his library on Sunday at the Memorial with a pitch-in on the 16th hole that could be the shot best we've seen from him post-hydrant.
One shot back of Rory Sabbatini, Woods blew his tee shot over the green on the par-3, leaving him with a diabolical, downhill chip shot. Par would have been an incredible score. But in typical Tiger fashion, he did one better, lofting his chip shit high in air before it landed softly on the green ... and tracked right into the hole.
It was vintage Tiger Woods, who gave the customary fist-pump as the crowd roared its approval. Woods went on to birdie three of his last four holes and capture his fifth Memorial win.
"That was one of the most incredible golf shots I think I've ever seen played," Jack Nicklaus said.
It's hard to disagree with the greatest golfer of all-time. After watching the shot over and over again, we'd have to agree that it goes right up there with some of the greatest shots in Woods' career.
