MEDINAH, Illinois (Reuters) - Medinah Country Club's No. 3 Course in Medinah, Illinois is a tree-lined layout that was designed by Tom Bendelow and opened for play in 1928. Changed out of all recognition by several revampings, it became the longest course ever to stage a major when the PGA Championship was played there for a second time in 2006. A 7,401-yard layout when Tiger Woods won the 1999 PGA Championship at Medinah, the par-72 classic was stretched to 7,561 for the 2006 edition, also won by Woods. ...
