Whether you knew it or not, there was another PGA Tour event being played south of the border in Riviera Maya, Mexico at the Mayakoba Golf Classic ... and boy was it a doozy. Looking for his first tour win since 2001, Aussie Robert Allenby kept the final round meltdown trend going this season, double-bogeying the 18th hole to fall into a playoff with rookie John Huh.
While the Sunday collapse wasn't out of the ordinary, the eight-hole playoff that followed certainly was, as Huh and Allenby came three holes short of the PGA Tour playoff record of 11 holes set at the 1949 Motor City Open. Huh closed it out to win in only his fifth tour start. Here's a recap of the playoff craziness.
